The 2nd International School on Advanced Immunology was held at Maria Laach near Bonn, Germany, from 17th to 21st September 2023. IFReC, in collaboration with ImmunoSensation² at the University of Bonn, launched the International School on Advanced Immunology from FY2022 to build on the success of the Winter School on Advanced Immunology, previously held with the Singapore Immunology Network (SIgN) from FY2011 to FY2020. This international school program aims to nurture the next generation of immunology leaders by providing opportunities for outstanding young researchers from around the world to learn about cutting-edge immunology and foster international networks with researchers of their generation.

Fifteen leading immunologists were invited as lecturers, and 49 exceptional participants with remarkable research achievements were selected from a large number of worldwide applicants. The high level of research by the participants and the active exchanges to promote interaction among them were well received by both lecturers and participants.

The third International School is scheduled to be held at the Awaji Yumebutai International Conference Center from 27th to 31st October 2024.
