The 2nd KAIST/Yonsei University-IFReC Joint Symposium, a collaborative immunology event organized by IFReC, KAIST, and Yonsei University, was held on 22 May 2026 at KAIST's Munji Campus in Daejeon, South Korea.

The symposium highlighted cutting-edge research in immunology through presentations by nine researchers from IFReC and nine researchers from KAIST and Yonsei University, as well as poster presentations by 15 early-career researchers from KAIST and Yonsei University. More than 60 participants attended the event, engaging in lively discussions on the latest scientific findings and technologies.

Looking ahead, the 3rd Joint Symposium is scheduled to return to Osaka in 2027. The symposium will expand to a two-day format and feature sessions centered on early-career researchers from all three institutions alongside sessions led by senior researchers.  This expanded format is expected to further strengthen international collaborative research between KAIST, Yonsei University, and IFReC, while also promoting deeper exchanges among their researchers and students.
