We are pleased to announce that the 3rd Annual Meeting of the International Society of Nucleic Acid Immunity (NAIS26) will be held from September 16 to 18, 2026 at the Nara Kasugano International Forum in Nara, Japan. Hosted by Shizuo Akira, this three-day event will bring together leading experts and researchers at all career stages, fostering vibrant scientific exchange in the field of Nucleic Acid Immunity.

 

The program will feature invited lectures, short talks selected from submitted abstracts, and poster sessions, highlighting a diverse range of cutting-edge research. Participants will also have the opportunity to experience traditional Japanese culture through excursions to Nara’s renowned shrines and temples.

NAIS26 is open to all participants, regardless of whether they are members of the International Society of Nucleic Acid Immunity (NAIS). To attend the meeting, participants are required to complete their registration by July 31, 2026.

Please register via the website link below. Registration fees are discounted for NAIS members, so we encourage you to join if you haven't already.
To register as an NAIS member, please use the link below. A membership ID number is required during registration, so please make sure you have obtained your membership number in advance.

Please note that the registration websites differ for NAIS members and non-members.
Participants who complete their registration by May 8, 2026 will receive an early registration discount of JPY 10,000 on the registration fee, regardless of NAIS membership status.

Registration Fees for NAIS26

  • Please note that if you register under an incorrect registration type, a handling fee will be charged to change your registration to the correct type.
  • Please pay the registration fee by credit card at the time of registration. Your registration will not be completed unless payment is made. To receive the early registration discount, payment must be completed by noon (12:00 PM Japan Standard Time) on May 8, 2026.
  • A registration confirmation email will be automatically sent from

    to the email address you provided during registration. Please ensure that emails from this address can be received. If you do not see the confirmation email, please check your spam or junk mail folder. If you are still unable to find it, please email the NAIS26 Office.
  • Applications will be closed once the maximum number of registered participants has been reached.
  • If we receive a notice of cancellation by July 31, 2026, the registration fee will be refunded minus a handling fee. Cancellations made after this date are non-refundable.

  • The registration fee includes costs related to networking events, such as lunch, the Welcome Reception, and light refreshments and beverages during breaks. However, note that the fee for the “Meet the Experts” dinner is not included. Participants wishing to attend the “Meet the Experts” dinner will be required to pay an additional fee separately.
 
 

Application for Poster Session / Short Talk

The deadline for poster and oral presentation applications: Friday, June 12, 2026.

NAIS26 is seeking poster presenters and oral presentation speakers from participants. Approximately 20 oral presentation speakers will be selected from those who wish to give oral presentations. Applicants should visit the link below, pay the registration fee, and submit an abstract.

  • Applicants must complete the participation registration and pay the registration fee prior to submission.
    Applications for presentations will not be accepted unless the registration process has been completed.
  • The Organizing Committee will select poster presenters (up to approximately 100 participants). From among these poster presenters, around 20 applicants who wish to give oral presentations will be selected to present short oral talks.
    Even if selected as an oral presenter, presenters are also required to present their work in the poster session.
  • A few poster presenters who deliver outstanding presentations will be awarded the “NAIS26 Best Presentation Award.”

Social Events

(1) Meet the Experts (Traditional Japanese Dinner with Guest Speakers)
Registration deadline: Friday, July 31, 2026
After the sessions on the second day, a seated dinner party will be held in an intimate setting with guest speakers who are experts in their respective fields. Participants will enjoy an authentic traditional Japanese dinner.

Participation will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis, and registration will close once the venue capacity is reached.
The dinner fee is not included in the conference registration fee and must be paid separately. We look forward to your participation.

(2) Welcome Reception
A welcome reception will be held after the conclusion of the sessions on the first day (September 16). All participants are welcome. The reception will be attended by the organizers, speakers, representatives of sponsoring companies, and participants. The cost of the reception is included in the registration fee, and all registered participants are required to pay the full registration fee regardless of whether they attend the reception.

(3) Excursion
On the morning of the second day, a traditional Shika-yose (deer-calling event to gather wild deer) will be held within the grounds of Kasuga Taisha Shrine. Following this, participants will have free time until the start of the afternoon sessions, during which they may visit nearby sites such as Todai-ji Temple and Kasuga Taisha Shrine, both of which are designated UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
