The Mochida Memorial Foundation for Medical and Pharmaceutical Sciences has selected Prof. Kiyoshi Takeda, Center Director of IFReC as the recipient of the 2019 Mochida Memorial Academic Award. ​

The mechanism of intestinal homeostasis maintenance elucidated by Takeda's group is expected to be applied to elucidating and developing treatments for inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). The world-leading achievements of his group have been recognized as insightful and creative.
