Professor Shizuo Akira, Director of IFReC gave a lecture at Shuyukan Senior High School in Fukuoka city on July 4.
Shuyukan Senior High School is one of the leading high schools in Kyushu regions, and has given plenty of eminent persons.

During after-school hours, Prof. Akira lectured his audience "The mystery of immunity; a newly opened door to immunology", which explains his brilliant achievements in an easy-to-understand manner.

The audience more than 600 in total included not only Shuyukan students, but also the students and teachers from high schools in neighboring areas. Even after the lecture, students gathered around Professor Akira, and they were keenly asking questions for an hour.
