The first IFReC retreat was held for the purpose that the researchers and support staff of IFReC can better understand their duty to achieve the purpose of IFReC, and communicate with each other to promote interdisciplinary research, with 239 participants of IFReC members and collaborators at a location off campus (Royal Oak Hotel, Otsu, Shiga) on the 12th and 13th November 2012.
