The Society of Evolutionary Studies, Japan (Only Japanese version available) announced the recipients of the Annual Awards 2014. Associate Prof. Kazutaka Katoh (Lab. Systems Immunology, IFReC) was awarded a "Young Scientist Initiative Award".

The award title is "Study of multiple sequence alignment method and development of the MAFFT software".

The award ceremony will be held on August 23, 2014 in Takatsuki Gendai Gekijo, Takatsuki City.
