"Suita City Mayor's Prize" was awarded to Professor Shimon Sakaguchi (Deputy Director, Experimental Immunology, IFReC) at the award ceremony held at the Suita City Hall on November 25th.

The prize is awarded to scientists or athletes with outstanding performance.
Previous winners include Professors Tadamitsu Kishimoto (Immune Regulation, IFReC) and Shizuo Akira (Director, Host Defense, IFReC). Professor Sakaguchi is the third IFReC scientist to be awarded the prize.
