Professor Shimon Sakaguchi to receive the Momofuku Ando Prize

Professor Shimon Sakaguchi received the 22nd Momofuku Ando Prize.
This Prize has the name of Mr. Momofukusu Ando known as a developer of instant noodles, and has been given to basic researchers and developers who contributed to the development of new foods and the promotion of food science.
Professor Sakaguchi was awarded the Momofuku Ando Grand Prize in 2017. It was highly appreciated that the discovery of regulatory T cells and their researches are important for alleviating food allergy and regulating immune function mediated by intestinal bacteria.
