On 16 and 17 November 2019, IFReC held a talk session and booth exhibit at Science Agora in the Telecom Center Building in Odaiba, Tokyo.

Dr. Jun Hatazawa was invited as a guest for the talk session where he gave a talk on "Using the Power of the Atom to Cure Cancer - Radiation Therapy Based on One Injection." With the theme of "Mankind's Fight Against Cancer--Can We Beat It?" the booth had a poster presentation showing the latest research results in cancer therapy and two microscopes on display allowing visitors to view tissue that had become cancerous. There were over 200 attendees and the event provided an opportunity to engage in dialog about cancer research.

(Dr. Hatazawa is a Specially Appointed Professor of Nuclear Medicine at IFReC and a Specially Appointed Professor of Joint Research Division for the Next Generation BNCT Development with Accelerator at the Research Center for Nuclear Physics.)
