Professor Yukinori Okada (Statistical Immunology, IFReC; and Graduate School of Medicine, Osaka University) was selected as the winner of the Osaka Science Prize 2022. His winning research theme is "Revealing pathology, pharmacogenomics, and personalized medicine by the use of genetic statistics."
Established in 1983 by Osaka Prefecture, Osaka City and the Osaka Science & Technology Center, the Osaka Science Prize is awarded to researchers under 50 in the Kansai area who have contributed to research and development in the fields of science and technology.
