The award ceremony of the King Faisal International Prize for Medicine 2017 for IFReC Professor Tadamitsu Kishimoto (Immune Regulation) was held on Apr. 4 at Riyadh, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The awarded topic was: Biologic Therapeutics in Autoimmune Diseases.
The King Faisal International Prize was initiated by the King Faisal Foundation, and is awarded in five categories including Science and Medicine. Many prize winners have gone on to receive other prestigious prizes, such as the Nobel Prize.
