IFReC Assistant Professor Takashi Satoh (Host Defense) and Associate Professor Katsumori Segawa (Biochemistry & Immunology) will be given The Young Scientists' Prize of The Commendation for Science and Technology by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT). Satoh will be awarded for his study on "Research of disorder-specific M2 macrophages", and Segawa will be awarded for his study on "Membrane phospholipid dynamics and recognition of dead cells". The prize is given by the Minister of MEXT to young scientists who have been recognized to have a high level of research ability and development in the science and technology field in Japan.

The award ceremony will be held on April 19 at MEXT.
