Martin Zenke, PhD（Professor of Cell Biology and Chairman, Institute for Biomedical Engineering, Department of Cell Biology, Aachen University, Germany) による講演会 “The Id2/E2A Transcription Factor Antagonism in Dendritic Cell Development” を開催しました。

Dr. Zenke は転写因子の研究を中心に数多くの成果を発表してこられた研究者です。今回のセミナーでは、幹細胞(Stem Cell)が樹状細胞(Dendritic Cell)の一種であるランゲルハンス細胞に分化する過程において、転写因子E2Aと転写調節因子Id2がいかに働くかについて話されました。

審良拠点長、岸本元総長をはじめ、約40名の研究者らがセミナーに参加し、約40名の研究者などが、熱心に発表に聞き入りました。セミナーの最後にはDr. Zenke の所属するAachen University のある町、Aachenの紹介に話が及び、座も和みました。
